Rasor SW12SM Electric Cutter 120 mm

The SW12SM is a new generation cutting unit for large thicknesses. The difference between the SW12SM and other Rasor cutting units is the motor housing which is held by a central foot placed behind the blade in a central position. This system spreads the cutting tension and the necessary force to move the machine through the fabrics on both sides of the cutter, resulting in a perfectly straight and even cut. The knife is semi-free on both sides to avoid winding problems even with tough fibers. The SW12SM is particularly suitable for cutting composite materials such as fiberglass and Kevlar. The impressive 350-watt motor combined with a bronze/steel clutch gear creates a very high torque. The SW12SM can cut any material in the "soft" stage up to a maximum thickness of 50 mm. High torque combined with the slow speed of the blade allows cutting even rubber and plastic-based materials in the field of carpeting and multi-layer industrial flooring. The push-button activated sharpening stone allows sharpening of the blade edge in less than 10 seconds without removing the blade. The aluminum cutting base is coated with Teflon® to enable smooth machine operation and reduce friction between the base and the material. Particularly suitable for cross-cutting, the SW12SM is equipped with an anchor flange for easy adjustment on fixed or automated suspensions. For 24-hour trimming, the SW12SM is also available in left-hand version (mirroring) as model SW12SSM.
